| Andrew Dienstfrey received a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York, NY in 1998. From 1998 to 2000 he was a Post-Doctoral scientist at the Courant Institute investigating methods for remote sensing of dielectric properties of superconducting thin films. He joined the Mathematical and Computational Sciences Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, CO in 2000. Research interests relevant to the ISCD/USMS workshop "Standards and Measurements for Assessing Bone Health" include the modeling and analysis of ultrasound propagation through soft and hard tissue. More general research interests include theoretical and computational aspects of scattering problems in acoustics and electromagnetics. |
